Outdoor First Aid

Course Information

This qualification will provide the skills, knowledge and understanding to support individuals carrying out a First Aid role in an outdoor environment where help may be up to 2 hours away. Attendees are typically Outdoor Activity Instructors. The qualification meets the requirements for First Aid at Work as outlined in the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.


The QNUK Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid (RQF) requires all learners to complete practical elements of the course, as well as undertake a 40 question multiple choice exam at the end of the training. To successfully complete the qualification learners will need to achieve 100% on practical skills and 28 out of 40 in their exam.

Onsite Information

Standard hot drinks are available throughout the day free of charge. No food is provided so learners will need to either bring lunch with them or plan to go offsite to purchase.
