Why do we collect data about you?

When undertaking a regulated qualification, it is important that we are able to uniquely identify each learner. We do this by your name and date of birth. There may be a requirement for us to contact you after you have completed this qualification. This may be for the purpose of quality assurance, investigating incidents or replacing certificates.

Video Data

For some qualifications we may require a training centre to record all or part of the delivery of the qualification and assessment for the purposes of standardisation and moderation. By signing this form you hereby give your agreement to having your image video recorded and shared with us for the purposes stated above. If you have any issues with this requirement, please discuss with your trainer/assessor or training provider as soon as possible, but prior to exam.

How long will you keep my data?

Your data is stored for the lifetime of your qualification, plus 2 years, after which time your data is securely destroyed. If your qualification does not expire, this may mean we keep you data indefinately. This allows us to provide you with evidence in the future of your attainments, as required by our Regulators.

You have a number of rights in relation to your data, including the right of access, to request an ammendment and to restrict processing. Full details of how QNUK process your data and your rights can be found in our Privacy Policy at www.qnuk.org

Trainer Provider Marketing

QNUK does not use Learner data for marketing purposes, however your provider may wish to contact you. On your feedback form that you complete after the course, you will be given the options of how, when and why the training provider will contact you.

During the course, your trainer/assessor may wish to take photographs of which may be used in the promotion of Emerald First Aid Training, this may be in printed literature or on social media platforms. It is not a requirement to be in these photos however if you wish to be excluded from these for any reason, please discuss this with your trainer as soon as possible.
